Street Painting @ Houston Via Colori 2015 : Photo: Liem Bui [Houston, Texas]
It has been a wonderful 2015 of chalk street painting. I traveled in the U.S. coast to coast from California to Florida, in between States and around the globe creating my favorite chalk murals. (Santa Barbara, CA; San Rafael, CA; San Francisco, CA; Daly City, CA; Lake Worth, Florida; Marietta, Georgia; Arhem, Holland; Victoria, Canada; Suzhou, China; Venice, Florida; Houston, Texas. I am so happy to make these ephemeral art with my community of street painters — I’m very lucky indeed.
This summer, I made my first ‘wet media’ street painting in Arnhem, the Netherlands at the 2nd World Street Painting Festival. Thank you to the organizers for that opportunity. Just recently, I was one of the 3 artists to bring the art of street painting to the 1st China (Suzhou) Pastel Festival. I created a 3D design celebrating the Chinese calendar ‘Year of the Goat’.
The Fall season is here and the Sarasota/Venice CHALK Festival kicks off on Nov 9-14. 2D, 3D, vertical 4D and the world record for the largest street painting will be there. Houston’s VIA COLORI will be the following weekend Nov. 21-22 celebrating their 10th Year anniversary.
I’ve been invited back to the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival on February in Florida to start the winter chalking season. Stay tuned for more in 2016! Thank you for visiting.

It will be my first time to visit Georgia to participate at the Marietta Chalk Fest October 11 & 12. This event is on it’s 2nd year and is organized by the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. It will be a FALL/HALLOWEEN theme. Check out my rendition of the “Bride of Frankenstein” at this year’s festive event. Come say hello if you are in the area!

September 12,13,14 in downtown Lelystad. More info here (in Dutch)
On September 18-21, I will be in Arnhem, Netherlands for the premier event of the World Street Painting Festival. I will be one of the 3 American artists invited with 13 other International Street Painters from Europe and South America. The event theme is “FREEDOM” to commemorate the WWII. More info here.
JULY in New York
I was invited for the 3rd time at the Annual Hudson Valley Chalk Festival in New Paltz, N.Y. I get to draw the darling silver screen siren Marilyn Monroe. We had a short but good downpour on Saturday evening so it was a good thing someone was on top of the weather report “What does one do when it rains at a street painting festival? – spectators always ask?” – – Cover with plastic — it sure saved the day!
I am looking forward to the month of September for an invitation to a debut street painting event abroad. Watch out for upcoming announcements!
In JUNE, it was my hometown street painting event – Italian Street Painting Marin with the theme “California in the 1940’s”. I drew a young Lucille Ball pre “I Love Lucy” TV series. It was a smaller festival format this year with about 2o+ artists showcasing their amazing 12 x 12 feet squares. A successful event indeed – – Thank you Italian Street Painting Marin!

I will be one of the invited Madonnari at the 2nd annual Victoria International Chalk Art Festival.
